The International Trademark Association(INTA) is a worldwide association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to the protection of trademarks and intellectual property.
Founded in 1878, INTA aims to foster consumer confidence, economic growth and innovation. Its members include nearly 6,400 organizations, representing more than 36,000 individuals from 181 countries. These members benefit from the association’s global brand resources, policy development, educational programs and international network.
INTA 2025 annual summit in San Diego
INTA will hold its 147th Annual Summit in San Diego, California, from May 17 to 21, 2025. This event is recognized as the world’s leading gathering for brand owners and intellectual property professionals.
It is the world’s largest and most influential event dedicated to intellectual property.
It brings together over 10,000 IP leaders, business executives and government representatives from around the world.
Participants represent a variety of regions, including North America, East Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa. As of April 2025, INTA reports over 550 registered companies.
According to them,“whether your objectives are to conquer new markets, strengthen your team’s skills or stay at the forefront of IP trends, INTA’s annual meeting will contribute directly to your organization’s growth and visibility“.
The educational program will focus on “The Business of IP”, with three main axes: Business and Technology, Law and Policy, and Professional Development and Career Advancement.
In addition, two new program series will be introduced: one dedicated to patents for IP professionals, and the other, an “In-House Series”, offering educational sessions designed by and for in-house practitioners.
France strongly represented at INTA annual summit
Over 10,000 trademark experts, IP professionals and government representatives are expected to attend.

A new annual INTA summit in the United States
The whole crew will meet again in mid-May in Southern California.
San Diego is renowned for its innovation, particularly in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences. It offers an ideal setting for this event. The city boasts world-class infrastructure, a pleasant climate and a diverse, inclusive community. Participants will be able to take advantage of business development and networking opportunities, while discovering the assets of this dynamic city.
INTA has already held an annual summit in San Diego, most notably in 2015. It’s true that annual summits are often held in the United States. In 2024, the event was held in Atlanta. Prior to Covid 19, Boston in 2019 or Seattle in 2018 hosted the event.
INTA continues to play an essential role in the promotion and protection of trademarks worldwide. Its 2025 annual meeting in San Diego promises to be another must-attend event for IP professionals.
