What’s the difference between BrandAlerts and Redemption Alert?
BrandAlert is a brand monitoring solution for domain names. Every day, you’re alerted by email to any domain name cybersquatting.
Solidnames’ “Redemption Alert”, on the other hand, monitors trademarks among expired domain names. In this way, the trademark owner is alerted to disputed domain names containing his or her name that have expired.
Who can create a BrandAlert watch?
BrandAlerts are created exclusively by the Solidnames support center.
What settings are possible for BrandAlert?
The possible settings for BrandAlert are :
- Identical watches: BrandAlert monitors domain names with identical trademarks. For example: solidnames.tech, solidnames.immo.
- Container watches : BrandAlert monitors domain names that include the mark in the container: For example: solidnames-faq.fr, solidnames-bordeaux.fr.
- Approaching watches: BrandAlert monitors domain names that are closest to the brand. For example: solidname.fr, solidworks.fr
How can I find out who has access to a BrandAlert watch?
To find out who has access to a watch, select a watch. Once in the alert settings, go to the “Account” tab. In the right-hand column, you’ll see who is authorized to view alerts.
How do I know who receives BrandAlerts alerts?

You can add a recipient, internal or external to the account, by clicking on the “Modify recipient” button > and then clicking on the “+”. The person will then receive the alert details, but will not be able to connect to the extranet.
Can I disable daily alerts for BrandAlert?
Yes, alerts can be deactivated from the BrandAlert settings in the left-hand column, then in the “Recipients (Email – Language)” section. Disable daily email for an email address.
Can I receive a summary of BrandAlert detection notices?
Yes, you can receive a summary of BrandAlert detection notices. There are several ways to do this.
- From the BrandAlert detection settings: you can see how often detection summaries are sent from the “Subscription” tab.
- From the BrandAlert list, in the DomainData column > clock button, you can receive e-mail results for up to the last 3 months.
- From the BrandAlert list, in the DomainData column > clock button, you can export summaries of BrandAlert detection notices in CSV format.

How do I display a brand’s BrandAlerts results?

You can renew your watch at any time. To do so, go to the subscription section of your alert and select “Renew”. You must then select the date until which your monitoring will end. The date selected represents the renewal end date.
Can I renew my surveillance after cancelling it?
Yes, it is possible to renew a BrandAlert watch after termination.
To do so, go to the subscription section of your watch and select “Renew”. You must then select the date until which your alert will end. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you once you have renewed your watch.
Can I cancel my surveillance at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your watch at any time. To do so, go to the subscription section of your alert and select “cancel now”. The alert will end upon confirmation. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after you have cancelled your alert.
What does “Cancel on expiry” mean?
Cancelling on expiry means that the alert will end on its expiry date. You can see this date in the “Subscription” tab of a watch, then in “Subscription” > “Expiry date”.
If you wish to cancel your subscription on expiry, go to the subscription section of your watch and select “Cancel on expiry”. The alert will end on the expiry date. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after you have cancelled your alert.
