Jean-François POUSSARD

Jean-François Poussard is a recognized expert in domain names and Internet branding. Since 2004, Jean-François has been advising companies on their domain name strategy.

 

Between 2010 and 2016, he managed ProDomaines, a registrar based in Gironde, and their Keep Alert monitoring platform. Between 2004 and 2010, Jean-François was the Marseille-based sales director of one of the first domain name registrars Mailclub, which became Safebrands in 2014.

Jean-François helps his clients to fight against brand infringement on the Internet (e.g. cybersquatting), and recommends offensive actions to register or buy out Internet addresses.

He draws intellectual nourishment from meetings with his contacts in a wide variety of sectors, working with them to build the most efficient strategy for their businesses.

Jean-François teaches Internet law and brand strategy at business schools in Paris and Bordeaux, includingINSEEC andESCEN.
He is also a trainer for Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) andINPI (Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle).
He has a cross-disciplinary approach to domain names, encompassing legal, communication and Internet security aspects.
