This name associating the brand with the term groupe was the address of a website <strong>slavishly copying the source code of the<\/strong> financial institution&#8217;s <strong>official website without authorization<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>In June 2017, the same applicant recovered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wipo.int\/amc\/en\/domains\/search\/text.jsp?case=D2017-0629\">cic-financial-bk.com<\/a>, whose website offers banking and financial services. For the expert, this cybersquatting domain name CIC sought to establish a <strong>phishing <\/strong>site or with a similar fraudulent purpose, which corresponds to use in bad faith. <\/p>\n\n<p>In December 2016, Carrefour bank recovered the disputed domain name <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wipo.int\/amc\/en\/domains\/decisions\/text\/2016\/d2016-2003.html\">carrefourbanque-fr.com<\/a> used to retrieve personal information from Internet users.<\/p>\n\n<p>Shipping group CMA CGM has detected a typosquatting of domain name <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wipo.int\/amc\/en\/domains\/search\/text.jsp?case=D2015-1774\">cma-cgmn.com<\/a> used to send emails to the company&#8217;s customers asking them to provide banking information in a phishing scheme.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal data collected by false support services  <\/h2>\n\n<p>In January 2017, Google recovered 5 domain names associating its Gmail email service with support (e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adrforum.com\/domaindecisions\/1708172.htm\">gmailsupportusa.com<\/a>). The website attempted to impersonate Gmail in order to sell the personal data collected from deceived Internet users. <\/p>\n\n<p>Dell has dismantled a network of 98 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adrforum.com\/domaindecisions\/1675101.htm\">dell-chat-support.<\/a> com-type Internet addresses attempting to impersonate <strong>the computer manufacturer&#8217;s support team in order to obtain the personal data of deceived customers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The social network Twitter has put an end to a specific phishing scheme called &#8221; <strong>tech support scam pop-up<\/strong> &#8221; via the disputed domain name <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wipo.int\/amc\/en\/domains\/search\/text.jsp?case=D2015-1488\">twittertour.com<\/a>. The associated website told users that their computers had been hacked and that they needed to re-enter all their personal information. In 2018, the Snapchat app recovered a domain name associating it with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adrforum.com\/domaindecisions\/1775440.htm\">hack and online<\/a> enabling users&#8217; accounts to be hacked.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Espson printers have recovered a domain name squatting on their trademark in the NewgTLD .SUPPORT. The domain name <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adrforum.com\/domaindecisions\/1756507.htm\">epsonprinter.support<\/a> was used by the defendant in an attempt to pass itself off as an official support service.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"..\/surveillance-quotidienne-marque-noms-domaine\">Solidnames alerts<\/a> allow brands to<strong>be notified daily of the registration of a domain name used for phishing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solidnames&#8217; <a href=\"..\/surveillance-quotidienne-marque-noms-domaine\">SecURL service<\/a> warns users of changes in web usage of monitored names.
